Hannah’s Blog
Hey everyone! I really don’t know how this blog is gunna turn out but hey, it’s the thought that counts! I’ll try my best to do a good one!
Ok, recently Anthony has been focusing on some of the Ten Commandments in a few of his sermons. So what I want you guys to think about is how often you try and apply the 10 Commandments to your life. I’m betting quite a bit that most of you haven’t murdered! But what about some of the other things, like lying, coveting and respecting your parents? Most of us break one or more of them every day, by doing things we don’t even realise. But we have to remember we’re not perfect and God will forgive us if we are truly sorry. That’s one of the truly amazing things about God, he loves us so much that he’s prepared to forgive us no matter what we have done.
I was thinking today about how easy it is to break one of the 10 Commandments. Really, to break just one of them, all you have to do is look at your friends new ipod and think, ‘I really want one of those, how come she can have one and I can’t?’ or tell your teacher your dog ate your homework when really its half done sitting on your desk at home when you couldn’t be bothered to do it the night before! It’s horribly simple, but I like the fact God has given us a challenge. Life wouldn’t really be that interesting without them! So this week, I’m gunna challenge you guys to think about things before you do them and try your best to stick to the 10 Commandments. I’m up for it! It’ll be really interesting to see how you get on so make sure you comment back! Have a good week, God bless.

Hey Hannah
Thanks for your blog, it really got thinking about the stuff which I do sometimes without even thinking about it and I guess the worst thing is I try to excuse myself, like lying for example, particularly when I’m in a situation where telling the truth would lead to lots of awkward questions etc. but often what happens is one lie leads to another and so on!!! I really thank God that he gives so many more chances than we actually probably deserve, but thats what so amazing about God isnt it! But I guess the big question is, how do we do better? I’m up for your challenge, lets just pray that we dont try to do it in our own strength but in God’s strength.
Take care, God bless

One question that really bugs me.. is why does God test us?
Truth is, yes hes testing us, but at the same time.. we test him.
We always question things, and When we live our lives, were already testing God without knowing.
One girl in an R.e exam was asked about how people believe in faith, and how strong a faith famous people can have. She wrote; I think the pope is a famous christian however he is insecure in his faith because why else whould he have bullet proof windows. Surely if he believed God would save him he wouldnt need bullet proof windows.
However the truth is, why test God?
We alwaysexpect God to make it better, God will hellp.
God tests us yo see how strong our faith is, and yes That is this week’s chllenge, but another challege is to think about how do you test God? because its not all him doing the testing is it?
We do it, we do it via Not revisiing for exams; not checking when crossing the road, getting into a car minus the seatbelt, public transport, walking outside of your house.. we test him in SO many ways and yet the focus is on God testing us? somehow i think we test him more than we ever thought we did. So while your thinking what tests God has given you, i.e the 10 commanments;
Think about the tests you set God. And belive me, although it doesnt feel like hes passed the test, he has in the long run.
God has plans, that only he knows. but this plan was around before we were even and idea in our parents head. and that is something i will never forget. things happen because of gods plan and never ever forget that. because if you do, you better remeber it or youll get lost.
On that sour note.. emily xx
